Letter from Mrs Cooke, re memorial books and candles Chris Lewis wrote 'My Grandfather HAROLD 'TAFF' LEWIS was apparently on HMS Barham at one point as a Royal Marine. He died about 10 years ago, but I am left with some vague stories he told me as a child. He may or may not have been on board when it was hit, but I do know that he ended up in hopsital at one point and constructed a model of the ship from matchsticks. Apparently, he sent the model to Lord Mountbatten (there is a connection here, I think) who wrote back thanking him for the model' Letter from the Royal Naval Association 09/09
