I served on the staff of C-in-C, Admiral Cunningham, as a cypher officer. I saw the whole of the sinking from the Admiral's flag bridge in HMS Queen Elizabeth, the flagship. My cousin Jack Stones served aboard the Barham and was on survivor leave in Alexandria when he was drafted to the Jupiter. He went down with the Jupiter.
