Reginald Doe |
Reginald Doe was my Fathers brother, and although I didn't know my Uncle, my Father always spoke highly and with deep emotion of his dear brother. Reginald died onboard the Barham in November 1941 and left a baby son. |

Henry Bourne |
My Father's brother Henry Bourne died on the Barham. My mum always mentioned him and thought he worked in the Galley. I had a sudden urge to write something in the Guest book in honour of Uncle Henry and the sailors who died by his side. We will remember them, lest we forget. |

Hi, my late husband served on the Barham from 24th May 1938 to 6 September 1941 he was 17yo up to 20yo when transferred to Stag (Div K) just 6 weeks before the Barham sank. He was so affected by the loss of his mates and identified so strongly with them that he used to say that he was with them when they went down. I am compiling his history in the Navy and thank you all for this site which has ben invaluable with the information of the Barham during his time aboard. Chris West. |

My Grandfather, whom I knew well, served on HMS Barham from 15th August 1915 until the 30th of September 1920. He often related his experience of the battle to me, where he was trapped below decks with three others during the battle. My Grandfather survived the experience but two of the other three were less fortunate. His service ended in ended 1938 having joined in 1914. He was an Electrical Artificer. He was recalled for WW11 and eventually finished his service around 1947. The trapped experience left him with sleeping problems and there after always slept with a lighted candle in his bedroom at night. He died in the mid 1960s in the Potrsmouth area where he had live for most of his life after leaving Jursey. I have very fond memories of the man to this day. |

Sending my regards to all those attending the Memorial Service. Sorry I can't attend. Dad so enjoyed the Annual Dinners at the Sailors Home Club, catching up with other survivors and families gave him a great lift. Great to see families of HMS Barham crew researching. My Dad spent time in S.A. recuperating after the sinking, then was on H.M.S.Howe doing the Arctic Convoys to Murmansk. He was doing this when I was born. After the war he was posted to H.M.S.Phoenix, when he left the navy he was in the Armoury in H.M.S.Collingwood, and the civilian member of their shooting team for a while, until full retirement. Dad died sometime ago, but I'm still sorting through his photos and other records of his days in the Navy. |

Sam Pink |
My father is now 94 and is planning to come to the service in November to commemorate his brother Sam Pink who died on the Barham on 25th November 1941. 15 days later, on 10th December 1941, my father was sunk on HMS Repulse in the Japanese attack 3 days after Pearl Harbour and he was reported missing. The two telegrams arrived at my grandmother's home in the same week. |

C.J.W. Clarke was my Grandfather, he survived the Barham sinking as a boy sailor. He continued in the RN, serving eventually aboard HMS Hermes as an Air Electronics Officer for the Buccaneer force. He sadly passed away in 2005 and is missed greatly by his family. |

My Uncle Reg survived the Barham sinking. He was my dad's older brother. I'm researching the family history and just wanted to remember him on here. |
