Arthuer (Jack) Gammon |
My father, survived the explosion and sinking of the Barham. Unfortunately he died in 1994. He told me many stories about the boat and of the friends he made whilst serving. I would be delighted to hear from anyone who remembers my father. |

A small group, here, are collecting information for a book on those commemorated on Raunds War Memorial. One of those remembered is Walter Edward Hall. Does anyone have any recollections of Walter ? |

Victor Hawken |
I have just started to research my family history and have received information via my mother that her uncle, Victor Hawken, died on HMS Barham in 1941. If anyone has any information especially Bert Ward, whose message I read on your website, I would love to hear from them. Victor would have been about 20 and was a Telegraphist I think. He was the youngest son of my great grandparents, and originated from Middlesbrough. My mum is Joan Taylor (nee Temple) sister of the late Allan and daughter of the late Elizabeth (Betty,/Bertha) Hawken and John Thomas Temple, known as Tom) who lived in Middlesbrough. Many thanks and I hope to hear from you soon. |

Donald Rennison |
Donald Rennison, Coder Trying to find out any information I can about Donald Rennison from York who died aboard HMS Barham aged 21 years. He was my Dad's best friend and although Dad is now 85 years old he still has a photo of Don and often talks about him. I know Don worked for LNER Police and his parents Ernest and Pollie lived in York. Can anyone help? Many thanks. |

John Mackenzie |
My great-uncle was a survivor of the HMS Barham sinking. My mother is travelling to England in November to go through all of his things and my Great-Aunt tells me he has loads of Barham material. As soon as I receive it I will go through it all and sent you copies etc. This website is amazing! If anyone has any info about John Mackenzie I would love to hear from you. jr@gpsinvest.com.au |

William Pearson |
Bill Pearson was my husband's uncle and his mother's favourite brother. She often spoke of him and the terrible day that the Barham went down. If anyone has any information about Bill it would be great to have it. The video footage is terrifying and brings home how amazing it is that anyone survived. The debt we owe can never be repaid. Thanks for the website. |

Rowland Hill |
My grandfather was aboard the ship and survived by jumping into the water just before the ship blew, his lower legs were burnt as they had not yet gone into the water at the time of explosion, he passed away in the 1980s. |
