My father served on HMS Barham 1940-1941. He always mentioned that he was a cook helper and how proud he was to serve on this great ship. Any body out there who can give me some info about him at that time? Thank you so much. |

Dear Clara My cousin Leonard Cross of Portsmouth went down on the Braham. I have a centre page spread from the daily mirror which shows an Arial photo of the Ship exploding. I also have Lens last letters from the ship and other letters from those war days. It was so tragic, Len has an interesting story. He was a marine Badgeman RM, I have his bugle mouth piece, his cane, drum sticks etc. He had a Son whom he never saw who is in new Zealand I believe who should have these things. Speak soon, Im glad to have found this site, Thanks to all John Ozard |

Mr Barham |
I wonder if anyone can help. My Nan recently passed away. At the wake we were all discussing her stories, she used to say that a member of her family (the Barhams) lost his life on the HMS Barham, we used to marvel at the coincidence of it all, but looking at the list on the internet, i can not see any BARHAM\'s listed, can anyone help me? Is this list complete? Amanda |

I was a young lad of 7 when this catastrophic event occured. Upon seeing newsreels much later in life this event has never been far from my mind when ever sea battles are discussed. May all you beautiful seamen - doing battle to save us - rest in Peace. This site is a wounderful tribute to HMS Barham and all who sailed in her. |
