Hi I am trying to research a Slough lad. He was a Midshipman on Barham and went down with the ship aged just 19. I know his father was a past Mayor of Slough and he was a past pupil of Royal Gramar School, Wycombe. I know its a long shot but any info would be gratefully recieved. RIP all lost on Barham. |

I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on the above. He was an Able Seaman when it was sunk, and went down with the ship. I would love to hear from someone that knew him. |

Alfred Wagstaff |
My uncle Alfred Wagstaff (P/K.65587) was born 6.1.1907 in Gosport, Hants. He and three brothers went to sea as had their father and uncles before them. Alfred was serving on HMS Barham at the time of his son\'s birth in November 1935, and on HMS Blanche in March 1938 at the time of his daughter\'s birth. Unfortuntely, he went down with HMS Tweed in January 1944. |
