James Greenland |
My great grandfather - James John Udall Greenland - ON161574- was among the Barham\'s first crew, joining in August 1915 before the ship was officially commissioned. He served at the Battle of Jutland, and was awarded the DSM \'for services rendered in the action in the North Sea 31 May - 1 June\'. He continued to serve with Barham until 14 August 1918. He joined the navy as a Boy in 1891. Thank you for this tremendous website. |
