Would you believe it 80 years from the sinking of H.M.S.BARHAM bless everybody who sailed on her and their families. My father "Ted" was a survivor and I was brought up with the heroic stories and tales. R.I.P |

I am 61 I found out about this battleship which is my family heritage name sake my middle name Nelson is after Admiral Nelson as we honor those families and those that perished … my beloved father fought in World War I I. in and died in 1971… I was 11 years old at the time I had no knowledge of these things …my father was Robert Nelson BAREHAM …it is Veterans Day in the United States in 2021 …myself and family express our deep gratitude, respect and honor to those that perished on the HMS BARHAM |

Frank Stafford |
My Dad, Frank Stafford, recently passed on September 28, 2021; just 2 weeks shy of his 97th birthday. I believe, at the time of his death, he may have been pretty close to being the oldest surviving crew member of the torpedoing & sinking of the HMS Barham. He had just turned 17 the month before and was a Boy 1rst Class at the time. I have attached his obituary. https://ottawacitizen.remembering.ca/obituary/frank-stafford-1083399077

Harry Dooling |
Hello, I found a memorial to an 18 year old lad Harry Dooling who lost his life when the Barham sank, in a tiny churchyard in Wychnor. I’d like to send you a photo but can’t work out how to. |

Sadly my mums half brother Stanley was in the Engine room at the time of the attack and died along with so many others. My mum was 11 at the time. She sadly lost another brother the following year on HMS Bicester. Very sad x |
