Andrea, thank you. That makes us somewhat distant relatives. My grandfather was Basil Done, son of Jessie Johnson, Ralph's sister. I have found Ralph's record but know nothing more than his basic details. But I do know the names of his family etc. Have you ever seen a photo of Ralph? |

George Douglas Hewett |
My Grandfather says my Great-Grandfather served on Barham as a quartermaster. Looking at a wedding phot of George Douglas Hewett he also wears the insignia of a Seaman torpedo man. How can I confirm whether he served on Barham (and when)? I know you can ask the MoD, but I do not have a death certificate (yet). Are there other avenues I can explore? Thanks! |

Mt father was on the Barham, but survived the sinking. We lived in a small vilage, and He played cricket for the village team, one week playing against the next village, there was another survivor playing, they struck up quite a firm friendship, that lasted for years. He could never be persuaded to attended the re-unions though, perhaps it was to much for him to face |

My father survived the sinking of the Barham. He was a stoker P.O. I have a number of photographs of the Barham which his sister compiled during the war |

Ralph Johnson |
Can anyone help me track down any further information on my Great Uncle Ralph Johnson who died during the Battle of Jutland in WW1. Following his death my Great Grandmother was the first to be notified of his death and owing to this history memory has always been close to our hearts yet we know relatively no information on him other than what his death record states. Any further info or photographs would be incredible. |

I was a member of TS BARHAM during the late 1960s, I remember the model of HMS Barham and felt proud to be associated with the Ship |
