Edward Newton |
Hello, I am the grandson of Edward Newton who served on the Barham between Nov 1925 and April 1928 as ships writer. I have his naval records and photo albums. When I have a little more time I'd like to join your association and I'll upload some whatever photos I can. Best Wishes. Andrew |

My father Stanley Everest was a survivor but he never talked much about the experience. Does anyone know what happened to the survivors in the immediate aftermath....for soe reason I think they may have been taken to Egypt (possibly to stop the news getting home?) |

Frank grew up in portsmouth was a good sportsman and I believe he held a record in the javelin? My late mother told me that the tragic news of hms barham sinking was withheld from families for up to 6 months, obviously rumour in a navy port was hard to cover it was that period before confirmation was given! Thank you peter. |
