Leslie Derby Garrett |
My great Uncle Leslie Garrett died on HMS Barham. My mum recently told me that his brother John witnessed the sinking as he was on board one of the other ships in the convoy. He never really recovered and suffered with terrible nerves for the rest of his life as a consequence. |

Peter H Bowers marine |
My Uncle Peter Bowers (marine) sadly lost in the sinking of HMS Barham aged 23. I never met him, but remember as a child visiting Westminster Abbey with my mother (his sister) to see the memorial book. Hope to attend the remembrance service on 24th Nov this year for the first time. |

Henry Pridham-Wippell |
Rear-Admiral Henry D Pridham-Wippell was my grandfather and, although I never got to meet him, I have learned much about him through the words of other people. My husband and I are hoping to attend the final Remembrance Service to pay our respect to those who died on that fateful day.

Jack Nealon |
Uncle Jack one of my heroes - he not only survived the sinking of HMS Barham but maintained his zest for life through everything despite many illnesses. An amazing example to all of those who knew him, a great family man. |
